My dear Comte,

We have been friends, you and I, working for the greater good of France. We have bled together on the battlefield. However this public posting has impugned the honor of the King and the good name of the King's Musketeers.

I demand that you retract this appeal, and publish an apology here, or there will be cause between us.

I do not wish that to happen, but I will not allow you to insult the honor of the King.

I am,
Jean-Louis de Couleurs
Colonel, KM
Baron de Vendee
CoPS

My Lord Colonel,

Yes we have been friends; and I hope that we may continue to be so in the future, whatever the future may hold for us as necessary roles to fulfil.

As you are hopefully well aware, aside from any short term responsibilities I may hold, I consider myself personally accountable only to God and to two men; those two men are His Majesty the King and the Colonel of the King's Musketeers.

Had His Grace Laurent Blanc continued to hold to those values whilst wearing the colours of the King's Musketeers we would not be in the position we are in today.

You are the Colonel of the King's Musketeers; even as an ex Musketeer (and in my case without colours) I therefore consider myself accountable, after God and His Majesty The King, to you in that capacity.

I apologise unreservedly to His Majesty The King for any offences, which might be perceived or implied by my actions by His Majesty: to His Majesty's person, position or reputation.

I retract my appeal for funds.

I apologise unreservedly to the Regiment of the King's Musketeers for any perceived slight to the Honour of His Majesty The King, or to the honour of the Regiment of the King's Musketeers.

I apologise unreservedly to yourself as Colonel of the King's Musketeers for my not having discussed my actions in this circumstance in advance with yourself, therefore depriving you as Colonel of the King's Musketeers of the opportunity to veto my actions in advance.

One for all and all for one,
For God, for His Majesty The King, and for France,
His Majesty's obedient servant,
Lord Antoine Y'Tuppe, Colonel the Royal Marines, Comte de Foix.

Lord Antoine Y'Tuppe, Colonel The Royal Marines, Comte de Foix.

Comte de Foix:

I thank you for your response and attention in this matter. Be well aware the King will know the full extent of what the Duc de Lorraine has perpetrated.

I wish you and the Royal Marines much success in the field. When you have returned, we must, by God's good grace, raise a glass to our King and France.

All for one.

Only a fool would try and arrest us twice in one day.
