Welcome to CGN
Welcome to Canterbury Gamers News. This website orginally started in January 2002 as a printed magazine containing only two Play by Mail games a bit of news and a story. The games were The Paris Tribune and Chronicles of Rokugan. Since then a lot of time has passed players have come and gone, as have games, but the two original games continue.
This site is now the home of all the games that are and have been run under the CGN banner, it is not a repalcement for the Adventure Gaming Society (our local Univeristy Gaming Club), it is an extra that can be accessed for free.
Feel free to join the site, there is not obligation to join any of the games, but you can discuss gaming, find out what is coming out at Westgate Games (our Friendly Local Games Store (FLGS)) and find out what events are being run in the Canterbury area.
The Paris Tribune
Why not join the gentlemen of Paris in swashing your buckle? Read their adventures every month in The Paris Tribune.
July 1627 issue & Version 7.1 of the rules published
The July 1627 issue and Version 7.1 of the rules have now been posted to the document repository. Whilst essentially a beta copty of the rules, they are 99% finished. So I will not welcome nor entertain additions to them, though corrections will obviously be seriously considered. These new rules do not effect player orders until Sptember 1627. Once the new rules have seen play for a month or two, to shake any remaining issues within them loose , I will post a definitive version. Once done, it is my firm intention to finally close the book on the game's rules and they will thereafter stand in perpetuity unaltered. Whilst I realise that this is perhaps striving after fools' gold, it is still what I hope will come to pass!
All individual returns for July 1627 have now been emailed out to players...
